Every Child Matters organized a non-partisan, nationwide event to draw public attention to issues affecting Georgia's−and all of  America's−children.

Register & Vote

The deadline to register to vote is October 6.  Election Day is November 4.   

Statistics on Children

  • There are 2,362,722 children under 18 in Georgia
  • Children Living in Poverty (2007) - 490,381
  • Children Not Covered by Health Insurance at Any Time (2007) - 289,000
  • Children’s Health Care Covered by Government Assistance (2007) - 892,000
  • Children Reported Abused (2005) - 74,165
  • 2 Year Olds Not Immunized (2006) - 28,050 (20.2%)
  • Child Abuse Deaths (2000-2005) - 367
  • 3-4 Year Olds Not Enrolled in a nursery school, pre-school, or pre-kindergarten education program (2006) - 140,345 (49.7%)
  • % of 4th Graders Scoring below Basic Reading Levels (2007) - 34
