The Pew Center on the States, a division of The Pew Charitable Trusts, has just released a new report on how the recession is devastating certain states in the US, titled "Beyond California: States in Fiscal Peril."

Plagued by record-setting revenue losses, the housing and credit crisis, and high unemployment, states are suffering tremendously.  The Pew report takes a look at nine states that have been hit especially hard by the recession. Those states include Arizona, Florida, Illinois, Michigan, Nevada, New Jersey, Oregon, Rhode Island and Wisconsin.
