The Congressional Education and Labor subcommittee on Healthy Families and Communities is conducting a hearing on the reauthorization of the Child Abuse Prevention and Treatment Act (CAPTA) tomorrow, November 5th. We need your help to encourage subcommittee members to address the 10,440 child abuse and neglect fatalities that occurred during the 2001-2007 period.


While we appreciate that this subcommittee hearing has a specific purpose related to reauthorizing CAPTA, addressing the 35% increase in reported child abuse deaths since 2001 also requires urgent attention.
