A new report out by Share Our Strength reveals some shocking details about childhood hunger in America's classrooms. In addition to the startling statistic that 63% of teachers report buying food for the classroom each month with their own money, some of their other findings include:

›62% of teachers surveyed say they see children who come to school hungry each week because they are not getting enough to eat at home.
›89% of teachers polled believe that addressing child hunger should be a national priority.
›More than 3/4 of teachers respond to hunger in the classroom by helping students sign up for free or reduced price meals.
›Two out of three teachers feel that more students are taking advantage of free or reduced price school meals than in years past.
