Quality early education programs offer economic and societal benefits that far outweigh program costs by improving the later education, employment, earnings, and crime outcomes of students who attend preschool. Despite the overwhelming evidence demonstrating the benefits of pre-K, children in Mississippi are often denied access to these programs, simply because the funding is not there.
